Printing Methods & Garments

What’s the difference between DTG and DTF, and which materials are best?

DTG (Direct-To-Garment) uses water-based inks applied directly into the fabric for a super soft, breathable feel. It requires light, high-cotton garments (80%+) to look its best. DTF (Direct-to-Film) prints your design onto a film that is heat-pressed onto the shirt, resulting in extremely vibrant colors that sit on top of the fabric. DTF is perfect for challenging materials like 100% polyester, sportswear, and 50/50 blends.

DTG vs screen printing — which should I choose for my order?

For 24 or fewer shirts with lots of colors, DTG is best—it acts like a giant photo inkjet printer and feels soft after washing. For larger bulk orders or designs with limited colors, traditional screen printing using plastisol ink is far more cost-effective and incredibly durable.

What kind of blank shirts do you use or recommend?

Our standard prices include a 100% cotton Gildan Ultra brand shirt, which is true to size and holds a print beautifully. If you want a premium, ultra-soft feel, our customers highly recommend upgrading to Bella+Canvas or Next Level brands, which offer excellent 50/50 CVC blends (52% ring-spun cotton / 48% polyester).

Do you print on USA-made apparel?

Yes! We can easily source USA-made apparel upon request for your project. Please keep in mind that USA-made blanks are generally more expensive than our standard garments, but we are happy to provide options and pricing.

Can I supply my own blank shirts for you to print on?

Yes, you can! We allow you to supply your own blank garments as long as they are brand new and never worn. Supplying your own blanks will yield a $2 discount per item off our standard pricing.

Can you do embroidery, too?

Absolutely. We offer professional embroidery on polos, hats, jackets, and more. We also provide custom digitizing services to cleanly convert your unique logo into high-quality embroidery stitches.

How should I wash my printed shirt or vinyl jersey?

For best results, machine wash cold inside out, avoid bleach, and either tumble dry low or air dry to keep the print sharp. If a vinyl jersey number ever starts peeling, you can gently re-apply light heat with an iron using a piece of parchment paper or a cotton t-shirt overlay.

Can you print photos on t-shirts?

Yes, we can absolutely print real photographs on t-shirts! For full-color photos, we use our state-of-the-art Direct-To-Garment (DTG) printing method. DTG acts like a highly advanced inkjet printer for apparel, utilizing eco-friendly, water-based inks to capture every tiny detail and color gradient in your photograph. There are no minimum order requirements for photo shirts, making it perfect for memorial shirts, family reunions, or unique gifts. The result is a vibrant, photo-realistic print with an incredibly soft feel.

Pricing & Orders

Is there a minimum order for custom t-shirts?

There are absolutely no minimums for DTG, DTF, or HTV orders—we can print just one single shirt for you! However, due to the extensive setup process, traditional screen printing does require a minimum order of 24 pieces.

How much to print just 1 or 2 shirts?

If you only need a single custom shirt or just a couple for a special event, a safe bet is around $25 per shirt. Because we have absolutely no minimum order requirements, we can easily accommodate small batches using our DTG printers. The final price might be slightly more depending on whether you want prints on multiple sides, require premium blank garments, or have other special custom requests. Either way, we make small batch printing affordable and high quality!

Are there setup fees for screen printing?

Yes, for screen printing there is a one-time setup fee per design location, plus a $15 fee for each ink color change. Small batch methods like DTG and DTF do not have any screen setup fees.

Are there discounts for large orders or repeat customers?

Yes! Orders of 100+ shirts easily qualify for volume bulk pricing. We also offer standard discounts for payments made by cash or check, and we love providing discounts to our repeat customers and loyal clients.

What payment methods do you accept, and what is your refund policy?

We accept major credit cards, PayPal, Cash, Check, and even Bitcoin. If you cancel an order before production starts, we can usually refund you (minus any processing or design fees). Once printed, custom orders are strictly non-refundable.

Artwork & Design Services

What file formats and resolutions work best for artwork?

We highly prefer high-resolution vector files like SVG, AI, or EPS for perfect scalability without losing any detail. Vector files like SVGs ensure your custom t-shirt design prints with incredibly crisp, clean lines. If you are using a standard image file like a PNG or JPEG, please ensure it is saved at a minimum of 300 DPI and has a transparent background. You can submit your artwork directly via our online quote form or email it to our team.

Do you offer Custom design services, or do I need to bring artwork?

We actually prefer if you let us design your custom apparel! Our in-house team has over 25 years of professional design experience, so we know exactly what kind of art looks and prints the absolute best on fabric. While you are welcome to bring your own print-ready files, our professional training ensures your custom t-shirts, jerseys, or embroidered hats turn out perfectly. Let us handle the creative heavy lifting so your final product is vibrant, scaled correctly, and guaranteed to impress.

Do you offer design assistance, and how much does it cost?

Yes! Our professional in-house design team can review, refine, or build your vision from scratch. Art fees generally range from $5 for simple text additions up to $50-$75 for complex, full custom branding graphics or photo conversions.

Will I see a proof before you print my shirts?

Absolutely. We eliminate the guesswork by sending you a high-resolution digital mockup proof to review. You can request revisions until the design is exactly how you want it before any ink touches a garment.

Can you match specific Pantone colors?

Yes, we can match specific Pantone colors perfectly for traditional screen printing orders. Because DTG and DTF printing utilize CMYK color profiles, there may be slight color variations, but if you send us your codes we will get it as close as possible!

Can I use copyrighted designs like logos or characters?

You may only use copyrighted designs, logos, or characters if you can provide official proof of licensing or brand authorization. We cannot legally print unauthorized, protected content.
