Chattanooga Tshirt co-owners Ben Pinson and Primo Montesi are trying to bring something a little different to the Chattanooga T-shirt market.

The business partners, who recently opened their own shop at 3201 Brainerd Road, are combining high-quality products with a quick turnaround time to bring fast custom, quality T-shirts to business owners, groups and individuals, they said.

“We print T-shirts on demand,” said Pinson. “Most other companies you have to put in a minimum order, but we can do one shirt on up to large orders.”

A graphic designer by trade, Pinson said he works with clients to create custom T-shirts and can also help people print their own designs. The shop can also print a photo-quality image onto a shirt. A shirt Pinson recently designed for Erlanger’s Life Force pilots includes a photo image of a helicopter alongside the Life Force logo.

“A lot of people are coming in with ideas of their own but don’t know where to go,” he said.

From kickball teams and local businesses to shirts for companies and individuals, Pinson said anyone can create a custom T-shirt and so far customers have been happy with the finished product.

“I haven’t had anyone turn down the proofs I’ve sent,” he said. “This is not a place where people put stock art on a shirt. You’ll get a custom design every time.”

To create a shirt with Chattanooga Tshirt, clients can either fill out a form on the company’s website or stop by the shop and talk to Pinson. He said he is relatively fast with laying out designs, so people are welcome to wait for their custom design or have the proofs emailed to them. Once they approve the proofs, some shirts can be made as quickly as that day depending on several factors.

So far, Pinson said the business is going better than he and Montesi ever imagined. In addition to expanding the business, the co-owners said they are really excited about being part of the up and coming Brainerd Road Art District.

“Every day we’re happier and happier with the Brainerd business district,” said Pinson. “We are really happy we are here.”

He said the business also hopes to launch an online shop with T-shirts featuring the work of local artists.
